Citywealth International Financial Centre awards announced: winners include Jersey and Credit Suisse

The Bermuda Royal Gazette reports on an awards ceremony held at the Grange City Hotel in London, at which Bermuda-based firm Appleby won a “hat trick of awards for legal excellence”.

The International Financial Centre Awards “were established to highlight the excellence of the advisors and managers in the private wealth sector in the major international financial centres. In what has been a period of extreme turbulence for clients this is when quality advice is at a premium. It is when the best of the best really stand out.”

The panel of judges were “highly respected practitioners from all sectors” including a representative of Deloitte Private Client Services.

Karen Jones, Editor at Citywealth, commented “We are delighted to raise the profile and highlight excellence in international financial centres.”

Other winners included Jersey – International Financial Centre of the Year – and Credit Suisse, for Private Bank of the Year.

The private wealth community can now look forward to the Magic Circle awards in May. According to wikipedia, the Offshore Magic Circle refers to “a number of law firms practicing in offshore jurisdictions which are considered to be amongst the leaders in the field”.

Entries for the Magic Circle awards are now closed.
