Bermuda takes issue with being on France’s ‘tax haven’ list

Last week the French government placed Bermuda, BVI and Jersey on a tax haven blacklist.

The Bermuda Royal Gazette reports that the government of Bermuda is surprised at this “particularly as Bermuda has an existing exchange of information agreement (TIEA) with France”.

The first reader comment on the article is: “Can the TIEA be cancelled if they refuse to take Bermuda off the list?”
